The dat toolkit is available for usage in three different ways:
- JavaScript API (via Node.js)
- via HTTP and the dat REST API
- using the CLI tool
All these provide basically the same functionality, allowing developers to create replication methods and transfer paths for their data.
Developers can stream their data, providing non-blocking and real-time channels for their data sets.
Taking advantage of Node.js powerful async capabilities and low resource consumption, dat can be used to expose very large data structures to external queries, providing immediate, real-time responses.
The dat toolkit works with both local data stores, but it can also work with SQL databases or data storage services like Google Drive, Amazon, and so on.
